Crimson Tide Sports Network legend Eli Gold missed the 2022 college football season due to mobility issues and was diagnosed with a treatable form of cancer not long after.

At points, Gold couldn't even walk. He told WNSP radio in Mobile that he spent half a year in hospitals and lost 148 pounds in order to get his health back and return to being the voice of Alabama football.
Friday, a video went out of Gold ringing the bell after completing his cancer treatment.
Chris Stewart will serve as the play-by-play announcer one more time on A-Day before Tide fans hear one of the most iconic voices in sports radio on Saturdays again.
