Alabama Lands Commitment From Three-Star Tennessee Wide Receiver
The Alabama Crimson Tide continues to land recruits for the 2026 recruiting class. Now, the Tide has added its first wide receiver to the recruiting class.

According to Owen Cabell's live-stream, three-star wide receiver Owen Cabell has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Cabell chose the Crimson Tide over Illinois and Vanderbilt.
Cabell, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound wide receiver from Nashville, Tennessee, is ranked as the No. 928 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 145 overall wide receiver. Despite the "lower" ranking, Cabell held offers from Georgia, Tennessee, and Arkansas, among others.
Cabell also runs track, posting a time of 10.76 seconds in the 100-meter and a 22.43 in the 200-meter. He also boasts a 4.44 40-yard dash time, according to his social media, as a junior in high school.
Cabell took two visits to Tuscaloosa: an unofficial visit on June 9 and concluded with an official visit on June 20. He also took two visits to Vanderbilt: an official visit on May 29 and an unofficial visit on June 14.
Cabell is the first wide receiver committed to the Crimson Tide for the 2026 recruiting class, returning the Tide to the No. 8 spot in the 247 Sports Recruiting Class rankings.
During his junior-year campaign, Cabell played in 12 games, where he caught 43 passes for 973 yards, with 1,204 total yards and 14 total touchdowns. He averaged 22.6 yards per catch in 2024.
