Alabama earned its second ranked win of the season on Saturday, defeating the Vanderbilt Commodores 30-14 inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama's first ranked win came on Saturday, September 27, against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Both Ty Simpson and Kadyn Proctor earned awards from that game, and two more Tide players earned awards after the victory over Vanderbilt.

 

Parker Brailsford was named SEC Lineman of the Week in the victory over Vanderbilt. He played all 69 snaps on offense against Vanderbilt, grading out at an 88%, according to the Alabama coaching staff. He did not allow a sack, pressure, or quarterback hit in the Tide's 30-14 win over Vanderbilt.

 

According to the university's press release, Brailsford registered a team-high 11 knockdown blocks.

 

 

In addition to Brailsford, Alabama linebacker Justin Jefferson won SEC Defensive Player of the Week.

 

Jefferson led the Crimson Tide in tackles with 14, including a team-leading nine solo tackles on Saturday. He forced a fumble and added a sack to his resume against Vanderbilt.

 

 

Alabama's next game will come on Saturday, October 11, when the Crimson Tide travels to Columbia, Missouri, to take on the Missouri Tigers.
