Oats will be joined by UNC's Hubert Davis and Kentucky's Mark Pope as court coaches during training camp, which began on June 14. The 12-member roster for Team USA U19 will be announced before the team departs for the 2025 FIBA U19 Men's World Cup in Switzerland.

Coaching the 2025 USA Basketball U19 team in Switzerland will be Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd, with Texas Tech's Grant McCasland and Notre Dame's Micah Shrewsberry serving as the assistant coaches.

Nate Oats is entering his seventh season as the Alabama men's basketball head coach, where he has achieved a career record of 145-63 since taking over for the Crimson Tide in 2019. In his last two seasons, Oats has taken the Tide to back-to-back Elite Eight appearances for the first time in program history, securing a victory over Clemson in the 2024 Elite Eight to advance to the program's first-ever Final Four.

For the second consecutive season, Oats and the Tide's offense set a program record for most points scored in one season, scoring 3,355 points during the 2024-25 men's basketball season. Alabama led the country in points per game with 90.7 points per game.

Oats and the Tide will look to return to the NCAA Tournament and make a deep run during the 2025-26 men's basketball season.
