Alabama defensive lineman James Smith, who the Crimson Tide lists as its starter at defensive tackle, will miss the first half of Alabama's game against No. 16 Vanderbilt due to a targeting penalty he incurred in the second half of Alabama's 24-21 victory over Georgia last weekend.

For the rest of the Crimson Tide availability report, nobody new has appeared, with Jah-Marien Latham and Jeremiah Beaman out for the season due to injury, and Qua Russaw listed as out after suffering a broken foot against Georgia last weekend. He won't miss the full season, but he is out for "extended time," according to head coach Kalen DeBoer.
