Alabama Set to Honor Nick Saban
Alabama's legendary football coach Nick Saban retired from coaching in January 2024, and the debate immediately started about how Alabama would honor him.
Fans debated building (another) statue of Coach Saban, renaming University Boulevard in Tuscaloosa, and even renaming the stadium itself to Bryant-Saban Stadium.
Alabama may have its answer.
According to a report from Tony Tsoukalas of Tide Illustrated, Alabama will honor Nick Saban by dedicating the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium to the legendary head coach on Sept. 7.
Alabama will play against USF at home on Sept. 7.
Saban's resume at Alabama is one of the most impressive in the history of college football. Six national championships, nine national championships, and a 201-29 record in his time with the Crimson Tide.
