Alabama Commits Shut Down Recruitment, Will Sign with Bama
We are one week away from early signing day, and the Alabama Crimson Tide currently has the No. 3 recruiting class in the country according to composite. The Crimson Tide may not be finished on the recruiting trail, but it first must get its players currently committed to Early Signing Day on December 4.
A pair of top recruits for the Crimson Tide appear fully bought into what Kalen DeBoer is doing at Alabama, with four-star linebacker Justin Hill shutting down his recruitment and planning to sign with Alabama on December 4.
Hill is a four-star edge rusher according to composite, and will play the 'wolf' position in Kane Wommack's defense, currently being played by Qua Russaw and Yhonzae Pierre.
Hill is from Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and chose the Crimson Tide over the Ohio State Buckeyes when he committed on July 3.
Through his first two years of starting at the high school level, Hill totaled 78 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 18.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pick-six.
Hill will also be in attendance for Alabama's game against the Auburn Tigers this Saturday. There were rumors Hill would travel to Columbus, Ohio, for Ohio State's game with Michigan.
In addition to Hill, Kalen DeBoer has locked in his quarterback of the future, with five-star Duncanville quarterback Keelon Russell announcing he will sign on December 4 as well.
Russell is a consensus five-star quarterback and the No. 3 player in the 2025 recruiting class according to composite. He is the No. 1 player in the state of Texas and committed to Alabama on June 4.
In 2022 and 2023, Russell amassed 5,860 yards and 60 passing touchdowns, while adding 564 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.
In his senior season, Russell has completed 70.2% of his passes for 3,212 yards and a staggering 46 touchdowns, adding 247 yards on the ground and two touchdowns.
Early signing day is slated for Wednesday, December 4. If Alabama holds on to every commit currently in the class, the Crimson Tide can finish with the No. 3 recruiting class in the country before dipping into the transfer portal when it opens on December 9.
