On Wednesday, Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported that Brandon Arrington, the top athlete in the 2026 class, has scheduled several visits for the upcoming summer. Alabama is among the schools on his list, and the 5-star cornerback/wide receiver is expected to visit Tuscaloosa from June 13-15. Additionally, Arrington will take official visits to Penn State on May 2, Texas A&M on June 6, USC on June 17, Oregon on June 20, and Georgia, with the date yet to be announced.

Arrington's most recent trip to Tuscaloosa was in February during the Crimson Tide's Junior Day, which saw the Tde host many blue-chip prospects, which has contributed to the amount of success that Deboer and his staff have had recently, with Alabama just coming off of their first week of spring practice, which saw over 11 prospects in attendance for the Tide, including the No.4 cornerback in the 2026 class, Elbert Hill, and 5-star tight end Mark Bowman.

The 6'2", 180-pound cornerback and wide receiver has impressive track speed, clocking in at 6.67 seconds in the 60m. His height and length provide a significant advantage as a cornerback, earning him the title of the No. 1 cornerback in his class, according to On3. Arrington's length enables him to disrupt passes and effectively contest 50/50 balls against larger wide receivers. During his junior season at Mount Miguel in La Mesa, California, he recorded seven pass breakups and one interception.

Arrington is a formidable threat on the offensive side of the ball, as the 5-star athlete poses a deep threat every play. He has the speed to outrun defenders, a skill he showcased frequently during his junior season, in which he recorded 10 touchdowns. Two of these touchdowns came from special teams, illustrating his impressive performance on the kickoff return team. Alabama is recruiting the California native as a cornerback, and his build resembles that of Patrick Surtain, who played defensive back for the Tide from 2018 to 2020. Surtain was a crucial component of the team’s National Championship in 2020 and was subsequently drafted ninth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.

Arrington will be in Tuscaloosa on June 13, the same day that the Tide hosts five other blue-chip prospects, according to On3.

  • 2026 No.7 OT Ekene Ogboko
  • 2026 4-Star S Kaiden Hall
  • 2026 4-Star EDGE Ebenzer Ewetade
  • 2026 4-Star DL Elijah Golden
  • 2026 3-Star DL Tyson Bacon (Tennesee Commit)

The 5-Star prospect has talked highly of Alabama, as well as everyone else in his Top 6, telling On3's Chad Simmons, "I can see myself at any of these schools, and they all know how to develop players" when asked why he chose the colleges on his list.

USC has emerged as the frontrunner for the Trojans, especially following Arrington's visit to Los Angeles. The 5-star cornerback appeared to enjoy his time there Monday, sharing updates on social media throughout his visit. One post even hinted that he may have found his new home.

There is still a long way to go until signing day, so Alabama remains just as much in the running as any of the other six schools that Arrington is considering. He seems to have a strong connection with the staff at Alabama, especially since DeBoer and his team traveled to La Mesa, California, to visit Arrington at his high school back in January. Alabama is in a solid position with the 5-star recruit, especially since he has scheduled an official visit with the Tide for June 13-15. During this visit, DeBoer and Crimson Tide Defensive Coordinator Kane Wommack will work to impress the California native, who is already highly interested in Tuscaloosa. After attending Alabama's junior day in February, Arrington told Touchdown Alabama that "Alabama is a high option" for him and described the visit as "great."
