Cases of COVID-19 have been on a steady increase in America over the last few weeks and this weekend we learned of two stars in the world of music who have contracted the virus.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Gospel star and Dallas resident Fred Hammond posted a 4 minute video to his Instagram and his other social media outlets announcing that he was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Hammond went on to add that he was on the fifth day of his quarantine after receiving the test results last Monday. The Grammy Award winning singer admits that he wore a mask but let his guard down and chose not to wear a mask at one place. He says that he expects to make a full recovery but is warning his fans and followers to wear a mask and protect yourselves.

Hammond wasn't the only star that we learned of contracting COVID. It was widely reported over the weekend that R&B star Jeremih is in a Chicago ICU on a ventilator battling the virus. According to an update from TMZ, rapper 50 Cent says the singer is responsive and 'doing a little better'. His fans and other celebrities continue to ask for prayers for his recovery.

Please do the right thing yall, its nothing "political" its science. Wear a mask, wash your hands regularly and practice social distancing.
