Why We Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is the day we go out and by the one we love something considered romantic.  Whether it is diamonds, candy or flowers or all three you better not forget Valentine’s Day.

Have you ever wondered how and this holiday originated? How did St. Valentine become involved?  The origins of St Valentine’s Day are tied to the ancient fertility festival Lupercalia, which was celebrated on February 15.

Some cite the fact that February 14 marked the date when birds began mating.
