Where Are Our Children Headed??

A 14-year-old boy positioned himself within the playground area outside a New Jersey elementary school with a fake gun wanting police authorities to take the threat he posed seriously and shoot him to death.

Police authorities indicate that the boy told them that he wanted the threat to prompt them to kill him. The fake weapon was determined to be a replica firearm when examined after the incident.

The boy was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and related offenses.

Had it not been for two observant parents who saw the boy near the school playground, this could have turned into another school tragedy.

Where are the minds of our children these days.  Where are our children headed?
