Campaigning for the political nomination for President, the two top Republican presidential participants are in a fierce battle for delegates. Donald Trump needs less than 500 delegates to win the party's nomination. Ted Cruz is working mightily to prevent this from happening.

Trump's campaign chief, promised that Trump will win the GOP nod outright. However Cruz has somewhat reduced Trump's advantage with the win in Wisconsin and delegate grabs in Colorado, Louisiana and North Dakota.

This political contest for Republican delegates has been compared with the 1976 contested Republican convention when Ronald Reagan challenged President Gerald Ford. The reality of all of this process will end sometime in June, and it will be clear that Donald Trump will be over the 1237 delegates to win the nomination.
