In 1867, John Drish jumped to his death from the second floor balcony of his Tuscaloosa estate. Witnesses say his widow mourns his death even today and now their home in has been named the Most Haunted Place in Alabama.

The Line Up based ranking on amount of paranormal activity and claim investigators have found plenty since 2008 when repairs were made to allow entry. Enough evidence was presented to convince some that the devil was UP IN HERRRRR and the Drish Mansion took the top spot.

Personally, I'm not sure how I feel living in the same county as the state's most haunted place, but as long as ghosts don't mind a crucifix and some Bible scripture, we'll be good.

WAAY-TV provides a fascinating and detailed history of the home's spooky history.
