Area schools have decided to delay the start of school due to the threat of overnight icing in the area. Cold air is pushing into the area following a rainy day. There is concern of wet roads and bridges freezing.

As we get into daylight tomorrow the temperature will rise above freezing and will allow the roads and bridges to dry. Having this in mind, area school systems want to play it safe and wait to make sure the roads are safe.
