City of Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox and Auburn Mayor Bill Ham have upped the ante with their annual Iron Bowl wager.

A press release from the City of Tuscaloosa reads...

The two mayors have agreed that if the Crimson Tide wins, Ham will make a $100 donation to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative and if the Auburn Tigers prevail, Maddox will make a $100 donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lee County. Last year, Mayor Ham made a $25 donation to Tuscaloosa’s Storm Recovery Fund following the Auburn loss.

“The Iron Bowl is always interesting and exciting, and this wager has become a tradition for me and Mayor Ham. We decided to raise the stakes because it’s for such good causes,” Maddox said.

Saturday will be the 78th meeting between the Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers. Airtime on 95.3 The Bear is 10:30 with kickoff from Auburn at 2:30 p.m.
