They Were Fruitful and Multiplied FOR REAL!

Hopefully, Ruth Zanger is a great baker who can give goodies for Christmas.  If not, the holiday season has to be SUPER expensive for her and her husband Leo, who have welcomed their 100th grandchild!

According to the Associated Press, the couple has been married 59 years and have 12 children. Other sources say the 100th grandchild is one of 53 actual grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.  While having 5 living generations is quite spectacular,  it's not very rare, but having such a massive clan is. It's almost unheard of..... And then there's O.S. Feodor Vassilyev of Russia.

Vassilyev is said to have had 87 children with only 2 women!  His first wife was pregnant 27 times, giving birth to 69 children; and his second wife was pregnant 8 times, giving birth to 18 children.  I thought my grandfather was doing something by having over 35 children, but 87??? That's crazy! And yes, I said my grandfather had over 35 children. He undoubtedly belongs on this list of people with the most children.

Never the less, as long as they're capable of providing for each child financially and emotionally, let them multiply as much as they want.
