Even in 2020 the show will go on.

At last year’s Emmys, Jimmy Kimmel sent a message to Tracy Morgan, who had been hospitalized in a coma following a traffic accident that killed one of Morgan’s friends and fellow comedians. “Shout out to Tracy Morgan, we’ll see you next year, Tracy,” Kimmel told the audience at the time. Almost one year later, Morgan made good on Kimmel’s promise and surprised the Emmys crowd as he arrived on stage to present the final award of the night for Best Drama Series to a standing ovation from the crowd.

The 2015 Emmys are upon us, hosted by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star and SNL alum Andy Samberg, and the competition is arrestingly steep. Will this be Mad Men‘s year? What about Tatiana Maslany? ‘Breaking Bad’ won the 2014 Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, beating out such other contenders as ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘True Detective.’

Looks like it was another one of those 'Modern Family'-centric years, right? ABC's hit took home the 2014 Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, as it did in 2013, 2012, 2011 ... oh, and in 2010, too!

Capable of leaping between sweet and sarcastic at a moment's notice while barely changing his signature dry delivery, Seth Meyers opened the 2014 Emmys ceremony with a monologue that could have come straight from one of his own shows.

Apart from all the good spirits of the evening, every Emmys inevitably becomes a somber occasion in honoring those we've lost over the course of the year. Now, with Robin Williams' tragic suicide still weighing on the world at large, the 2014 Emmy Awards have announced that Billy Crystal will step up to honor his fallen friend in the memoriam segment of the evening.

After getting snubbed all night in the major categories, 'Breaking Bad' took home the big prize at the 2013 Emmy Awards -- Best Drama Series!

Surprise, no one! 'Modern Family,' a show that has been nominated 57 times since it's debut and won Outstanding Comedy Series the last three years, once again won the Outstanding Comedy Series at the 2013 Emmy Awards.

Claire Danes took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2013 Emmys this Sunday. Danes won the same honor during last year's Emmys, as well.
