Stillman Celebrates Athletics Department

This Friday, Stillman College is celebrating its Athletics Department in its Campus Play Day!

The institution made the decision this year to end a number of sports programs in an effort to save money and balance budgets. However, on Friday, April 22 at 1:30 p.m., an Athletic/Intramural Celebration will be held on campus.

Other activities of the day include a USTA Tennis on Campus event on the tennis court, kickball on the softball field, board and card games on Greek Row, and field games at the band practice field. Each of these will begin at 2:30 p.m. Then, at 3:30 p.m., a fitness challenge will take place at the band practice field.

The night will end with a non-Greek step show and block party at the amphitheater, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

It has been a rough year for Stillman. So, it's nice to see the plans to simply loosen up and have fun.
