An Alabama State representative is entertaining a movie to begin impeachment proceedings against the Governor of Alabama, Robert Bentley, in the wake of the on-going drama surrounding he and his former senior political advisor, Rebekah Caldwell Mason, who resigned Monday. If Bentley is impeached by the House of Representatives, it would place him closer to being totally removed from office by the legislature. The State representative calling for his impeachment may bring the articles of impeachment against the governor as early as next week.

It is not known what charges will be leveled against the governor in the impeachment process, but the action is very necessary because "the governor's lost the trust of the people of Alabama." It would appear that the impeachment action will gain credibility since it's being crafted by a Republican legislator.
