During last week's ice storm, I pulled over several times on my way home to use the slow motion feature on my iPhone to capture footage of the ice bouncing off different surfaces.

The hood of my car provided the background for one shot as did a fallen tree across from my drive way. Pear trees and a patch of fallen leaves both served as a fascinating tableau for the droplets of ice that rarely fall from Southern skies.

Here's a quick video of the different scenes I captured driving home through Tuscaloosa and Northport.
