Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect until 6 PM Tonight; Flash Flood Watch in Effect Until 6 AM Wednesday Morning [VIDEO]

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 6 p.m. tonight; most of our listening area also remains under a Flash Flood Watch until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.  Counties in pink are under the Severe Thunderstorm Watch; counties in green are only under a Flash Flood Watch at this time.

The main threat from these storms will be damaging winds and heavy rain; threat levels are outlined by the NWS below.
