The SEC football weekend is dwindling by the hour with numerous teams in the conference having a COVID-19 outbreak. Four SEC games have been postponed due to one team the other experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak. Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Georgia and Missouri are all having to rework their schedules due to the virus.

SEC Commissioner Greg Stankey made the following statement.

"While it is unfortunate to have multiple postponements in the same week, we began he season with the understandings interruptions to the schedule were possible and we have remained focused throughout the season on the health of everyone around our programs and in our communities, to prevent the spread of the virus and to mange activities that contribute to these interruptions."

Mississippi State postponed the upcoming game against Auburn due to COVID-19 protocol issues. The game is rescheduled for Dec. 12. A day later Auburn Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn announced that nine team members and three staffers have tested positive during their bye week.

LSU is also battling a virus outbreak on the team. The Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron revealed that some of the players affected are starters. In a press conference Orgeron said the virus started some time last week.

"We are dealing with COVID and contract tracing, I can't go into detail. It's a very fluid situation. We do have some players who have COVID and some players in quarantine," said Orgeron.

LSU has postponed its game against Alabama and if the game can be rescheduled will have to be evaluated. LSU's opening on Dec. 12 is already filled by an earlier deferred game with Florida.

The SEC has also postponed the upcoming game between Tennessee and Texas A&M, which was set be played in Knoxville. The Aggies had multiple positive tests for COVID-19, leading to many players being sidelined due to contract tracing.  The game will be played now on Dec. 12.

Georgia and Missouri was the final game postponed after the conference decided to postpone the game. Missouri has players and staff members in quarantine due to contact tracing. The game could be rescheduled for either Dec. 12 or Dec. 19.

Now that these games are postponed, Texas A&M will bet set to play Ole Miss next. Auburn with play Tennessee and Alabama will play Kentucky . LSU's next game will be against Arkansas while Georgia will host Mississippi State on Saturday November 21.
