It is time for us to stop merely "showing up" to church and feeding off of what we are told by mere mortal men and women. The Bible tells us: Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good (1Thessalonians 5:21). The Bible goes on to tell us that we are to study to show ourselves approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. We have to return to our spiritual roots and stop putting men/women in the place of God. We have entrusted our souls to people and frankly speaking many of these same people do not teach what the Bible says. We will each be judged for our own works, thus, we have to study for ourselves and apply that knowledge to ourselves. We perish for the lack of knowledge. On many occasions I have heard leaders say, "your breakthrough, healing finances, and your growth in the Lord, will come through them". Jesus has promised us that He Paid the Price for everything we need. We must remember that only One ever walked perfectly in this world, and He is the One who died for His church and He is the One we should emulate: and that one is Jesus Christ. We must get back to the Word. I would really like for you to understand that I am not saying that all traditions in the church are not of God. A tradition may actually be good and may be established for a very good reason. However, it somehow becomes evil when it is a substitute for the Word of God.

So many denominations today have departed from the Word of God. They first substituted a Creed for the Word of God. Then they began to substitute the word of men and the thinking of men and their own little ritual and their own denomination. Before long, the Word of God exited out the window. This has happened repeated, time after time.

We seriously need to consider if we are following Christ or the traditions that been established by men. The two are not always united or the same.
