Officer Cleared in Campus Shooting
Remember the case where the University of South Alabama student was shot and killed by a campus police officer in 2012? Well, the lawsuit filed by 18-year-old Gil Collar's parents has been dismissed.According to WFSA, U.S. District Judge William Steele threw out the civil lawsuit, disagreeing that Collar's rights were violated. He is said to have ingested drugs, stripped naked and banged on the door of the campus police station, begging to be shot and killed. Moments later, USA police officer Trevis Austin opened fire.
