Former University of Alabama tight end and Natioal Football leauge Hall of Famer Ozzie Newsome was one of 5 former high school athletes voted into the Natiomal high school Hall of Fame.                                                                                                                      Newson was a three--sport standout (football, basketball, baseball) at Colbert County High School in the early 1970s.he  helped Colbert County to state championships in football and basketball in1972 and to the state finals in baseball in 1973. He attended ALABAMA, and went on to become one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history during his 13-year career with the Cleveland Browns. He has been general manager/executive vice president of the NFL;s Baltimore Ravens since 1996, helping win two Super Bowls, and was inducted intothe the pro football Hall of Fame in 1999.
