Tuscaloosa is the sight for another Super Regional for our Alabama Crimson Tide Softball team!  The best of three series starts Thursday night at 8 vs. Nebraska.  The winner of the series punches a ticket for the Women's College Word Series in Oklahoma City.

Schedule:

  • Game 1: Thursday (May 22) - 8 pm (on ESPN)
  • Game 2: Friday (May 23) - 5pm (on ESPNU)
  • if necessary, Game 3: Saturday (May 24) - 8pm (on ESPN)
Another option for catching the games, listen to them on 95.3 FM.

As we get ready for the action, let's check out fun facts from RollTide.com:

  • Alabama is the only school in the country to advance to the Super Regional round every year since the round’s inception in 2005.
  • This season marks the seventh time the Tide will host a Super Regional. Alabama is 11-3 overall in Super Regional games in Tuscaloosa and has only lost one Super Regional round at home.
  • Nebraska is the second Big Ten opponent Alabama will face in the Super Regional round, having previously defeated Michigan in two games in 2012.
  • Nebraska will be the seventh ranked opponent Alabama has faced in the Super Regional.
  • Only twice over ten years has an Alabama Super Regional been decided in three games.
