As another Mother's Day arrives and we prepare to show our gratitude to the important women in our lives, Alabama fans often reflect on an old television commercial that still resonates decades later.

This old South Central Bell commercial featured Bear Bryant sitting behind the desk in his office and talking about keeping his players in touch with their families.

The legendary Crimson Tide head coach left us with some of the most inspirational quotes in college football, but it was one simple question he asked at the end of a commercial that registered with every single person that watched it.

"Have you called your mama today?"

Bryant finished the commercial by saying, "I sure wish I could call mine." That line might even have been improvised by the head coach himself, which makes it that much more meaningful.
