Hale County School Closing Protest

Plans to close Akron Community School in Akron; Ala. and Sunshine High School in Newbern: Ala both in hale county drew protest from protesters outside the Hale co. Board of Education. Hale Co. School

Superintendent says it was announced about two years ago that the two schools would close at the end of 2014. Protesters want the schools to remain in their community. We will watch it and see where it goes.
