Gospel Nugget for today . . . .

Since the Bible is the only writing God has given, we must take it alone as the basis of religion. If God wanted us to have more information, He would have recorded it for us, and mot left it to the imagination of men to fill in the details. True, John 20:30,31 say: " And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." Even though there might have been many things that happened in Jesus' time that are not recorded in the Gospels, still we cannot trust traditions or word-of-mouth, to add to God's inspired Word.
