As we close in on the final month of the regular season, the College Football Playoff debate has begun. On Halloween night, the first rankings of the year have been revealed and the committee placed Alabama in the No. 2 spot behind Georgia.

The remainder of the top four included Notre Dame and Clemson with Oklahoma and Ohio State the first two teams out.

Both SEC teams are undefeated heading into November, but the Bulldogs got the nod because of its road win at No. 3 Notre Dame. If both Alabama and Georgia win out, they would meet in the SEC Championship Game.

Nick Saban has talked about the tough schedule ahead for Alabama, and he's correct. The November slate of games for the Crimson Tide includes matchups with No. 19 LSU, No. 16 Mississippi State, and No. 14 Auburn.
