I've heard of saving the top layer of a wedding cake for the first anniversary, but this couple is taking the time-honored tradition to the extreme!

According to USA Today, Ann and Ken Fredericks take a bite from the top layer of their cake with each anniversary. They've been married 60 years! Yes, they're still eating 60-year-old cake. If that's not enough, the cake is said to have been made a few months before their 1955 wedding to allow it to settle.

Now, I can see eating a canned good a few days past its expiration date, and I can even understand eating the top layer of a wedding cake on a first anniversary, but for 60 years? Sounds like they might be looking to make "til death do us part" happen a bit sooner than necessary.
