Beware of Unsafe Shears Sold at Home Depot!

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is reminding Home Depot customers about a recall of Fiskars lopper shears after several new injuries have been reported.

The product involves the Fiskars 32-inch Bypass Lopper Shears, model  number 6954. This item has dark orange steel handles, black rubber grips with a gray strip, and plastic gears connected to the pruning blades.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission indicated lopper handles can break while cutting branches, posing a serious injury and laceration risk. The company has received approximately 33 incident reports, including pinched fingers, bruising and head and face injuries.
