It seems that in recent years, more people have shunned the idea of making New Year's resolutions, opting instead to focus on being better individuals day by day.

Still, though, there are some that choose to make resolutions in efforts of changing bad habits such as smoking, drinking, gambling, etc. They tend to feel that starting a new year with a clean slate will help them to become more accountable to their goals.
