Alabama with 3 Barbecue Restaurants Making America’s Top 10 List

Barbecue restaurants around here are good, really good.  Even, the chain restaurants will not disappoint.  That's not just a local guy bragging, it has come up in The Daily Meal's ranking of the 10 Best Barbecue Restaurant Chains in America!

Three of the Top 10 can be found in Tuscaloosa.  Even, the best of the best, the #1 ranked restaurant has a location in our land of football and ribs for all.

Jim N' Nick's grabbed the top honors with its #1 ranking.  Founded by Birmingham father and son, Jim and Nick Pihakis.  You'll find 'em locally on 21st Avenue downtown, just off Jack Warner Parkway.

Also on the list at #4 is Dickey's Barbecue Pit.  This chain has its roots in Texas. The Highway 69 South location, near Hillcrest High School, is the first in Alabama.

Ranked at #9 is Moe's Original BBQ.  Founded by 3 Alabama grads with a location on University Boulevard.
