Fans who are planning to attend an Alabama football game at Bryant-Denny Stadium this season are reminded to be aware of game day traffic routes and stadium restrictions prior to their visit to Tuscaloosa.

In an effort to divert traffic flow away from construction while helping to alleviate congestion on game days, the University has devised alternate routes to and from Bryant-Denny Stadium. For more details, please see the attached route charts and visit www.uagameday.com for all of the latest parking and traffic information.

Once at the stadium, security restrictions strictly prohibit fans from entering Bryant-Denny Stadium with the following items: oversized bags, backpacks or purses larger than 8.5 inches x 11 inches (the size of one sheet of paper); video recorders/camcorders; outside food and drink, including coolers; firearms and weapons; computers; umbrellas; artificial noisemakers; strollers; chair backs larger than 16 inches; cameras and telephoto lenses larger than 6 inches; flags or banners on poles; selfie sticks.

Fans are also reminded that law enforcement officials have the right to inspect any item at any time to ensure spectator safety. Prohibited items must be returned to cars or disposed of before entering the stadium. There are no provisions to check items at any gate of entry. Those looking to enter without any bag check items are encouraged to enter the stadium through the express lane gates located at gates 10, 18, 36 and 38.

The Mercedes-Benz Fan Fest, located at the corner of University Blvd. and Wallace Wade, will feature the Crimson Tide Sports Network Tailgate show that begins at Noon with Eli Gold and Tyler Watts. Chris Stewart and Phil Savage will take over from 1-2 p.m. Crimson Tide Sports Marketing (CTSM) will be giving away two pairs of tickets to the Louisiana-Monroe game, two $25 gift cards to the Shrimp Basket and several t-shirts.  There will be a variety of food vendors, including Chicken Salad Chick, Sweet Frog Yogurt, Bojangles, Steel City Pops and Moe’s Southwest Grill for the fans to enjoy.

The Coca Cola Kick-off Zone (corner of University Blvd and the Walk of Champions) will have Coca-Cola inflatables beginning at 11 a.m., including a field goal area, quarterback challenge and obstacle course. The University of Alabama women’s soccer team will be signing autographs from 11-11:45 a.m.

The University of Alabama will again make available eight water stations inside Bryant-Denny Stadium for the home opener. There are four stations on the mezzanine level and four in the upper deck. Each station is a 125-gallon tank that provides cold filtered water to patrons if they choose to use them. Fans can bring in clear, empty bottles to fill. There will also be cups provided at each station. Locations for the water stations are in sections D, K, AA and NN on the mezzanine level and the top of each spiral ramp in the upper deck.

Finally, Bryant-Denny Stadium is also a no smoking facility, along with the entire University of Alabama campus. Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited on game days for all persons attending Alabama football games.
