The University of Alabama clinched its spot in Atlanta for the third straight year before the final conference game against Auburn.

The Crimson Tide moved to 7-0 in conference play after a 51-3 win over Mississippi State and will represent the SEC West in championship game thanks to an upset in Athens, Ga. Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs upended No. 9 Auburn, 13-7, to give the Crimson Tide a spot in Atlanta.

Coincidentally, it was former Alabama defensive back Maurice Smith that intercepted a pass and scored Georgia's only touchdown of the game.

Alabama still has to play Auburn on November 26 but that game won't mean anything in the SEC race. Win or lose, Nick Saban will take his team to the SEC Championship Game for the third straight year and the sixth time in 10 seasons in Tuscaloosa. Alabama is 4-1 in its five previous appearances under Saban.

This year's opponent from the SEC Eat is still undetermined and it will likely stay that way until the final week of the regular season.
