Four people, including two small children, are dead after a wreck with a logging truck on Highway 82 outside of Maplesville yesterday. 

According to ABC 33/40, 21 year old Destini Monique Davis was killed after her vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer carrying a full load of logs. The three passengers in Davis' vehicle also lost their lives in the accident: 22 year-old Tarlanda Davenport, a toddler less than two years of age, and an infant less than one year old.

Tragically, none of the passengers in the vehicle were wearing seatbelts or using proper child restraints.

The driver of the logging truck was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The accident occurred on US 82 in Chliton County, near the intersection of County Road 227. Highway 82 was closed for more than five hours as emergency response crews worked to clear the scene of the accident.
