The 3rd Annual Tuscaloosa Half Marathon (THM) is open for registration and will be held at 7 a.m. on Saturday March 7, 2015 at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.

Along with the 13.1 mile half marathon and one-mile fun run, a 5K has been added to the race weekend this year! The half marathon course will start and end at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre and will run by some of Tuscaloosa’s trademarks such as Denny Chimes, Bryant Denny Stadium and along the Tuscaloosa Riverwalk. The course is USA Track& Field certified and is rated easy to medium.

Co-Race director Kelsey Colglazier said,

We are so thrilled to host the 3rd Annual Tuscaloosa Half Marathon and are even more excited for the addition of the 5k. Our race weekend now provides runners at all levels the opportunity to participate in a race that makes such a difference in the community. Each participant truly has the chance to run for a purpose.

ReadBamaRead and the Kiwanis Club of Greater Tuscaloosa are again the race charities. The THM has invested an outstanding $120,000 in two years for these local children’s charities.

The THM was the 3rd largest half marathon in the state of Alabama for 2014. The race had 1,100 half marathon participants that represented 33 states and 400 fun run participants. The capacity of the 2015 race is 1,500 half marathon participants, 500 for the 5k and 500 for the fun run.

Early bird registration is available through November 30th for $65. For more information or to register online, click here.
