A 14 year old Muslim boy was detained by police after a teacher at his school thought his homemade clock he brought to class looked like a bomb.

Ahmed Mohamed was suspended for three days from MacArthur High School after taking the clock to class on Monday.

After show his clock to his engineering teacher, another teacher heard the clock which was in his backpack beep. When he showed this teacher his clock this teacher told him that it looked like a bomb.

The boy was pulled from class taken to the principal and police for questioning. The boy was detained by the police. The police are considering filing charges of making a hoax bomb.
